  Sunday, Nov 28, 2004 Needed A Hockey Fix, tampa This photo was taken last season when we actually had NHL caliber hockey around here. Mandi and I were really in need of a hockey fix so we made the 300 mile round-trip drive down to Estero last night to watch some stellar ECHL hockey action as the Florida Everblades played host to the Las Vegas Wranglers. I gotta say that I was very unimpressed. I'm not just saying this because I am an NHL snob - I am saying this because there was very little in the way of physical hockey, no fights, very little skill and a 1-0 result. Mandi and I will get our next hockey fix on Dec. 15th when the Lightning's AHL hockey affiliate, Springfield Falcons, play a regular season game at the Forum against the Philly Phantoms. At least it's the AHL. |
