Old Man and the Sea, gulf of mexico

We had a great visit with my father the last week and a half. He helped us out with a bunch of different projects around the house (as usual) and the two of us took in some deep sea fishing off the coast of Clearwater. We used to go fishing all the time when I was kid and I can't remember the last time we did. Oh and just so you don't think that I am being a smart ass with today's post title... those were his words when he saw the first photo.

Speaking of old men... Mandi, my neighbor Mike and I went to see Van Halen's reunion tour last night as they made a stop at the St. Pete Times Forum. It was cool to see the old lineup and it was cool to hear the old pre-Van Hagar songs but the sound quality was poor and you could hardly hear David Lee Roth over the music. However, I would never pass up a chance to see one of my all time favorite bands. And I know that Ron was probably sitting there beside me rocking along.

In blog news... update your bookmarks as I am in the process of switching the blog to www.the-jer.com (a nickname given to me by former co-workers). If you go there now, I am have been updating the blog there as well.
